“Community” was the name on this building long before we arrived, and the spirit of that name permeates every aspect of the vision for this restaurant.  From the elegant prohibition atmosphere, to the impeccable service, and even a menu that features “sharable” courses, every detail has been thoughtfully considered to create a venue where community is built, and memories are made. We invite you to “experience” the latest chapter in the story of this fantastic space with a history of literally building our community. 

Having removed the plaster, we exposed and restored 120 years of history in the murals, bricks, and wood rafters. While preserving and restoring the history of this building, we’ve acquired and restored 100 year old bars & wood doors that would be right at home in this space. The bank vaults have been converted to wine storage, with passages cut in the back of the vaults so that guests walk through the wine vaults to enter upper and lower dining rooms.

Once you’ve arrived, feel free to settle in and make yourself at home.  Come early to try some of the best spirits, smoked cocktails, and barrel aged cocktails in North Georgia.  The dinner menu features the finest steak, seafood, and wines that complement both food & experience.  From the 45 day dry-aged Kansas City cut to the sous vide Joyce Farms Airline Chicken Breast, every dish is based on the finest ingredients and minimal preparation that showcases their spectacular flavors.

Meet the Chef

Chef Jason Vullo heads the kitchen at Community. He created our exquisite menu so that every dish is based on the finest ingredients paired with preparations to showcase their spectacular flavors. He came to us from Rathbun’s Steakhouse, but many locals know him from his time at Chives in Clarkesville.
